In 1993, estranged fighters Ryu and Ken are recruited by Chun-Li to compete in the World Warrior Tournament. As they battle competitors from around the globe, they uncover a conspiracy that pits them against each other and forces them to confront their shared past.
Cindy says
Sakurai trades indie chaos for blockbuster spectacle here, and the result is a surprisingly fun Street Fighter adaptation that actually respects the source material while keeping things grounded and kinetic. The ensemble clicks, the fight choreography pops, and it knows exactly what kind of movie it is—which is more than most video game adaptations can say.
