In 2006, To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen orchestrates an ambitious televised sting operation aimed at exposing online predators. When the operation goes fatally wrong, Hansen's pursuit of ratings and public vindication spirals into a crisis of conscience about performative justice.
Cindy says
Oppenheim dissects the seductive rot of televised morality with surgical precision, anchored by Pattinson's quietly unnerving turn as Hansen. It's a sharp, uncomfortable meditation on how righteousness curdles when the cameras start rolling—less thriller than character study about the performance eating the man.
