Drama · 146min · RO
After his parents' deaths, Romanian Mihai relocates his family to a remote Norwegian village to start anew near his wife's relatives. The family bonds with their neighbors, the Halbergs, until their daughter arrives at school with unexplained bruises, threatening the tentative peace they've built.

Mungiu's patient examination of how good intentions curdle into moral compromise is devastating—Sebastian Stan anchors the film's slow-burn tension as secrets fester beneath Nordic civility. A masterclass in sustained unease that rewards your attention across its substantial runtime.
