Cindy says
Richard Kelly's debut is hypnotic fever-dream cinema that rewards obsessive rewatching. Jake Gyllenhaal gives a genuinely unsettling performance as a kid spiraling between reality and delusion, anchored by sharp supporting work and a killer '80s soundtrack. Flawed but utterly magnetic.
